A moment I will never forget was during a one-night only performance of Anything Goes at Lincoln Center in 2002. They brought back Patti LuPone, Howard McGillin, and Linda Hart from the revival production to lead a fantastic company. LuPone absolutely brought down the house with Blow, Gabriel, Blow. The applause and ovation was unlike much of anything I have ever seen seen. So what did they do? An encore. After the second go-round, the audience was on its feet and the applause went on for several minutes. It was a thrilling experience.
