| We can agree to disagree, but I don't understand why you feel it necessary to make sweeping general pronouncements and sigh over another movie version of a stage musical based on a movie. I really think each case should be taken individually, and each of these movies should not be judged until after they are made. So although you somehow seem fairly certain that a movie of SPAMALOT will be pointless and not very good, I'm going to wait and see. And to underline the point, if you feel SPAMALOT is a very different situation than MY FAIR LADY or the HAIRSPRAY musical -- and I agree with you there -- then you might have limited your comment to SPAMALOT and avoided the gross generalization. |
