I am going to chime into a thread that normally I would read and be done with. My reaction to this news is that I don't see Spamalot as being a good candidate for film treatment because it relies so much on kidding the genre of musicals whereas there is a madcap humor invested in the original film. Just imagine trying to put "You Won't Succeed on Broadway into film and you can get onto my page that this is not a musical ripe for film.
