I used to sell playbills frequently on eBay. Eventually the market tanked for most shows, as they were readily available. Big hits were worth almost nothing. The ones most likely to sell for high prices were obscure shows, flops, out of town closures, and shows with famous stars "before" they were famous. One of my best sellers was a summer stock production of Take Me Along with a teenage Liza Minnelli in the ensemble. It went for about $120. |
