The 2009 film of ''Nine'' didn't work with Daniel Day-Lewis as Guido either, but to me, Antonio Banderas should've won the Tony for the 2003 revival.

(Franchi was fantastic on the tour, but I hated the brown train-station set that replaced the stunning, white-tile spa setting that was on Broadway.)

Getting back to Convy: Here's a video of him (below) singing Kenny Rogers' ''Sweet Music Man'' (in 1978), and his voice sounded wonderful.
