| I just stumbled upon a musical production of Jane Austen's work on Amazon Prime. It's a filmed production staged by Silicon Valley Theatreworks. With book, music, and lyrics by one Paul Gordon, it is an amiable way to spend a couple of hours. There's much I could say, but the fact that I'm posting it is an appreciation of what they've accomplished. It does rely too much on Elizabeth, but my kudos go to Darcy who has the best numbers and performs them well, although his vocal style differs from the rest of the cast. Check it out when you're looking for something a little different. |
