How were the Mona replacements, Fannie Flagg and Anita Morris?

Morris had replaced Ann Jillian in Sugar Babies (I still remember as a kid looking at the poster on the way in and noticing that they had left the A from ann and just painted the rest of nita Morris rather sloppily in the marquee)

Morris then left that to take over the lead in Whorehouse. As a kid I thought she was going backwards from a new show to an old but I can see now that this would have been her first lead role on Broadway (and only sadly.)

BTW we saw Sugar Babies instead of Sweeney with Louden and Hearn because my parents didn't think it was appropriate for children. I think I'd have liked Sweeney though even at that age. Sugar Babies was the first Broadway show I ever saw that I didn't like. (The previous ones being A Chorus Line, Annie, They're Playing Our Song and then Sugar Babies, the let down show. At least I got to see the inside of the Hellinger which I never did again.)
