It's not surprising to see big names like Mark Ruffalo and Laura Linney (who are most deserving) nominated, but I'm particularly excited to see so much top-notch theatre talent without name recognition on the nominee list, as it may help them "break through" to the next level, including:
Uzo Aduba
Daveed Diggs (!!!)
Cynthia Erivo (further solidifying her status as an on-camera force to be reckoned with)
Margo Martindale (though I found her quite miscast as Bella Abzug)
Janet McTeer (I know, I know...she has two Oscar noms, but she's still far from a household name)
Alex Newell
Ashley Park (!!!)
Tom Pelphrey (who did a lot with his thankless role in End of the Rainbow)
Andrew Rannells
