It’s not the creative peoples fault the season was cut short. Why should they be punished? We have three good musicals that qualify. That’s more than some seasons have. And your statement that they don’t get a tony bump because permanently closed would mean any year that a limited run show in the fall shouldn’t qualify. Again, that’s the producers choice to open in the fall and not the actors and creatives. I think you are shortsighted in seeing this only for best musical or play tony and not the rest of the awards. And those actors and creators that win will cherish it for a long time and be in the history book. Why would you take that away from them because it wasn’t awarded on your schedule?
