Couldn't agree more! Thanks for articulating that.

And yes, i agree about what we see in the last 20 years of broadway choreo. And it's not just that but relentless over-choreography any chance they can do it. Speaking of Promises Promises, I think Rob Ashford is one of the biggest offenders in this way. His How to Succeed revival was riddled with that, as was, I felt, his Parade. And it's not just over-doing it or adding it where the show/song isn't built for it, it's creating stuff that has nothing to do with the song or moment in the play, but also doesn't compliment it or illuminate anything. At least in my opinion.
