This interview was fabulous. Brought back memories. I first met June Havoc when she appeared in A few Lyrics and Lyricists shows that I had worked on with Maurice Levine. She was an amazing lady and we got to know her. She created a home for animals she had rescued in Cannondale Crossing. Every year just before Christmas she would do the blessings of the animals. and folks from the area would bring their dogs and cats there. We were invited and would take the train to WIlton Connecticut and get on this little shuttle two car train to Cannon Crossing which brought us right onto her property.

She had all kinds of animals that she had rescued. Jane Powell who had a home out there would come. After the blessing Maurice, his wife and a few of her friends would go into her home and have lunch. It was there were all kinds of tea sandwiches and desserts. We would go for years, It was so beautiful. this interview brought back those beautiful memories. Her home was almost a museum of memories of her career. I miss those beautiful days. She had a lovely assistant who helped her and lived there. We both shared the same birthdates December 22.
