I find it a bit of a stretch that Fran Lebowitz did not have an awareness that a chandelier was a key plot point in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
I saw the show. It was one of the first Bway shows I saw after moving here. The chandelier effect was laughable. It reminded me of my attempt at skiing.
But c'mon. It had been filmed three times already.
