| She would have been quite good. I recall a late career appearance by Doris Day on a Johnny Carson "Tonight Show" where she apparently wasn't wearing a bra, and she was exchanging sexy banter with Carson in a manner approaching the manner of a Ernst Lubitsch sex comedy! Just watched a restored 1923 Lubitsch silent film called "Rosita" last night on TCM starring Mary PIckford, and what I was struck by is that it's a historical period film directed to be played like a really good sex comedy at times. |
