I'm surprised that this aspect of his life is not explored. It seems there were a number of issues that made him feel like an outsider. The review certainly overdoes the alopecia. His refugee status was part of it. How can a biography hope to be complete when it ignores his sexuality? I thought Mark Harris would have the tools and sensitivity to tackle it.
