| Well, if she REALLY didn't know anything about the show before seeing it, and was completely unfamiliar with the original novel or ANY of the several film versions, and therefore honestly did not know that THE BIG MOMENT in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA comes when the opera house chandelier falls on the audience, then seeing the chandelier raised at the beginning of the show wouldn't necessarily clue her in that it was going to fall at some later point. BUT I find it incredible that she was so ignorant about the chandelier, so I really do think this was a case of grossly exaggerating a story for comic effect. |
