On the more general question of whether gay people are driven by their sexuality I say of course they are. As straight people are driven by theirs. It’s who I love and have been loved by. How I see the world and how the world sees me. The personal is political in this life. It’s why I left the town I was born in and where I chose to live. And who I’m spending my life with.
