Nope, it was definitely 1978. (Article linked below.) Besides, the clips of "Maude" couldn't have happened before the show's premiere in 1972, lol.
A very odd little number, this. A few truly funny moments for sure (the handshake, for one), but mostly it tends to remind me of the (deliberately) stiff amateur "talent show" type numbers that were done in a few episodes of Maude. Which worked wonderfully in that context of ordinary Tuckahoe citizens trying to perform lol, but less so here, IMO. But still, fun to see this. ;-) |
