| This is such a weird segment, not least because neither Ball nor Arthur were known for the sort of vaudeville clowning that they're doing in the first bit. And the segments only work due to camera tricks, so the staging is a bit of a cheat. It would have been so much cleverer if they could have figured out how to get the stars on stage without stopping and then transition to the second bit also without stopping. And what is that second segment supposed to be? They're just walking from point A to point B while dancers do their thing on the main floor. The button at the end is funny, but, again, it's the kind of humor with which neither is associated, so...huh? |
