Memphis made my personal short list of contenders, and i said I can't crown one winner because I don't feel familiar enough with Memphis, but I'm sure that would win for me.

But why is it "ridiculous" that I discuss the weakness of other contenders for what the weakest winners were? I had an enjoyable time at Gentleman' Guide I guess but I found it deeply disappointing and the same bit over and over, like a sketch that last 2 hours, and the only 2 songs i truly liked in the score were the 2 that had been on late night shows or the Tonys. I think it is 100% one of the weakest winners of Best Musical compared to *most* of what has won. Is it worse than Memphis or Kinky Boots? No, not for me. I'm sure a huge majority disagrees with me entirely on Kinky Boots though. It's all subjective.

You don't think what you're saying is subjective? Clearly MANY people LOVED Memphis. You didn't enjoy it or connect with it or get moved by it, but that's subjective, and if you were maybe you would pick another show as the worst winner.

But after dismissing what has been said or the idea that in answering this question there's anything to dissect about shows that aren't Memphis... you then only say it's Memphis, you don't give any reasoning or analysis but to call it a dud. Come on.
