| Perhaps we should all agree on what many people said at the time: The only reason why CONTACT was nominated in the Best Musical category was that there was no other conceivable category in which it could have been nominated. Perhaps the Tony administration should have just decided to give the show a special Tony, even if that wouldn't have made the production anywhere near as happy in terms of their marketing. |
