I walked out of Millie. I found it so generic, boring, and cheap, with the one exception of the tap dancing desk people. It wasn't even that I disliked it... I just didn't care.
Did it lose to "Urinetown"? That was such a better show in every respect, and had more impact on the form of the Broadway musical for the next two decades. But, that's the Tonys; the interesting shows almost never win. |
