| ''Aida'' definitely deserved to win Best Musical that season, and Disney is working on a revised revival, directed by Schele Williams. And I also agree that ''Jersey Boys'' is a well-crafted show, and kudos oughta go to its clever book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. The story of the Four Seasons is actually split into four seasons, and each member tells his quarter of the musical through his eyes. Jukebox musicals can be clunky cut-and-paste affairs, but ''Jersey Boys'' weaves its songs and story together with such wit. |
