| The LaChiusa Wild Party is on the top of my list as needing a revival. I loathed the Broadway version, finding it relentlessly ugly and over the top (yes, Mandy). However, when I heard the recording I was taken with the writing and performances and the ambition of it all. There must be someone who could bring out the humanity of the characters and give a more nuanced version of the piece. |
