| I went through the list of Tony musical winners for the last two decades. Not comparing nominated shows in a season and only considering shows I saw, I thought the list of winners was pretty good. Personally, I didn't enjoy "Hadestown," although the production and performances were very good. I know I'm in the minority here. I'm similarly in the minority in feeling that "Kinky Boots" was okay but not really new. "Jersey Boys" was well-done but it seemed to me a beg-a-thon special on PBS. AND that's the period of my tweens; I know all the songs. Okay, hate me. |
