You know, there really isn't all that much Brecht/Weill in the show once you get past the first few numbers. (And in talking directly with Greg Kotis, he claims they really didn't know anything at all about Mahagonny at the time they wrote the show, though I can see a number of parallels.) Greg did tell me, though, that a lot of Hollmann's choral writing was influenced by his love for Bach, which I found interesting.

I'm a huge fan of the show as well, though. I've had the thrill of doing two productions of it, and I'm ready anytime to do it again. ;-)
