MikeM, I think you're right on both counts. I bet the Tonys are giving the shows some time to send swag to the voters to refresh their memories.
And when the Tony nominations were announced last mid-October, it had been rumored that the awards might be held in December.
''Moulin Rouge!'' hoped to capitalize on the timing with its virtual event, featuring its Tony nominees, with Variety at the end of October.
And ''Jagged Little Pill'' was booked for NBC's Broadway special in November and had scheduled a reunion concert for mid-December.
