I disagree wholeheartedly with this statement. There have been PLENTY of lousy performances by "hollywood names" on Broadway that the chat boards lit up about - and nothing was done to replace the star. Examples: The last 3-5 years of the 96' Cabaret revival's run Chicago for most of the 2000's
