| I've never read it, but there's supposed to be a science fiction novel called "Space Opera" by Jack Vance, that concerns an intergalactic opera company or something like that which apparently has lots of references to operas, characters and such. You could tell the publishers there's a precedent for something artsy combined with sci fi, and Vance I've been told is a classic sci fi author. Maybe I'll check it out myself, as I meant to read it years ago. Hope that helps anyway! |
