Chazwaza, I agree. I thought Kelli O'Hara was truly luminous in Piazza, but she didn't have that special something in The King and I. She certainly gave a worthwhile performance, but not one that was that special IMO. I would have put O'Hara at #4 behind Chenoweth, Rivera, and Malone (in that order).
I really thought Kristin Chenoweth should have won, by far, and I was really surprised she didn't win. But others on this thread didn't care for her work, and she might have been hurt by being up against the memory of Madeline Kahn. But I was really expecting Chenoweth's name to be in the envelope. |
