| This is clear evidence that Prince and producers were between a rock and a hard place. Madeline couldn't sustain a high level in her performance and Judy Kaye (and I'm a big fan) wasn't up to the role. Kaye could sing it but not act it. Kristin Chenoworth showed us what a top notch Lily Garland looks like. One of my favorite musicals, but one needing a super star in the leading roles. As for Imogene, while her singing is suspect all the way through, she is MAGNIFICENT. | |
