| Sounds good, Laura! Did I ever tell you on ATC that I once met a Gershwin? I was on line to pick up tickets to see a production of "Of Thee I Sing" at the Symphony Space put on by the NY Gilbert and Sullivan Players on the Upper West Side years ago. Some older lady kind of looked like she didn't see me and kind of cut in the fairly short line. She asked me if I was there first, and I said, "it's Ok, you can go ahead ... it's all right -- after all this show is by your brothers!" She said, "Would you have let me if I wasn't who I was"?" I had recognized Frances Godowsky, the Gershwin's younger sister, from some other Gershwin appearance I had seen her at, and I said, "Hey, how many times in my life can I ever say I helped out a Gershwin?" She smiled. :) Btw, I almost always go to see productions of "Of Thee I Sing" when I can -- great show! |
