Prince was always a believer in Kaye.
To those who talk about her 'star quality", I'd like to add that while she can be terrific on stage (Her Rizzo was da bomb), there has been no Judy Kaye in movies or on TV. That "quality" isn't there. When she has been on Law & Order, it has been in brief, inconsequential appearances. In other words, it seems the camera "doesn't love her." The same goes for John Lloyd Young and so it was for Sammy Williams and others. The cookie crumbles. |
