I liked this play, and liked it even better after absorbing the EnrichMINT section (22 videos!). Those presentations and Q&As helped to further contextualize this piece for me. (I loathed Days to Come, The writing and most of the acting struck me as sub-par),

Days was a melodrama especially with the mafia gangsters involved. I just felt Katie didn’t cover much territory. She was a child. She really needed to get pregnant and move from childhood romance to motherhood. Now a days, he’d divorce her but I think he was correct in moving to Dublin or abroad to isolate her from that guy who really wasn’t actively pursuing her. Not a landmark play, but worth watching at home. I think I’d be really bored in a theater seat.

dramedy, Noted, re Days.... for me though, there was no real oomph, except for the sister. Plus, I felt all but two of the actors (playing the sister and a maid being the exceptions) were not particularly invested in their roles. Re Katie...you may want to check out the EnrichMINT section on the MInt's website, particularly video #2 of 12 in the first grouping. Interesting and enlightening discussion of the culture of the times. Barbara
