Ms. Hall recreated her role of Bloody Mary in an outdoor one weekend only production of "South Pacific" in Milwaukee. Nellie was played by a school teacher living in Milwaukie. Her name is Karen Marrow. Legend has it that Ms. Hall was so impressed with Ms. Marrow that she urged her to come to NY.C. Legend also has it that it was Ms. Hall who introduced Ms. Marrow to Richard Rodgers. l was lucky enough to see that Milwaukee production at the Emil Blatz Temple of Music in Washington Park. Both ladies were amazing!

Thank you for posting this, Kieran. I don't know what she sounded like five or six years later when the film's soundtrack was recorded, but this is an excellent performance and it's a treat to see and hear her in action.
