I saw the original Broadway production back in 1974. I loved it, but I was only 14 at the time. Also loved the OBC.
Ten years later, I had moved to LA and the show opened at the Music Ctr. with Morse repeating his Bway role.
Unfortunately, someone had the brilliant idea of casting Joe Namath in the role Tony Roberts played.
The Times' Dan Sullivan gave Namath such a shallacking I avoided it. |
