A well made documentary from 2013 that goes into considerable detail about Divine's stage work in New York and Los Angeles. Highly recommended.

I saw it at Outfest when it came out several years ago and loved it.

I saw her in "The Neon Woman" at Hurrah night club/disco in 1978. Great fun. The play was written by Tom Eyen who won a Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for Dreamgirls in 1981.

Much better was Eyen's classic WOMEN BEHIND BARS, which Divine was brilliant in, at the Truck & Warehouse Theater, now the home of the NY Theater Workshop.

I heard it was wonderful but unfortunately wasn’t able to see it . I’m assuming the production values were better in an actual theater setting. However the club setting added a bit of necessary sleaze to "The Neon Woman "..
