It did seem to happen sometimes in the 70s at the Oscars. I like to watch the old Oscar presentations. For Ronee Blakely in Nashville they showed Susan Sarandon. For Jane Fonda once they showed Francis Ford Coppola! So it wasn't even a lookalike.
I think there are more cases. Sometimes it was because people switched seats I've read. |
