| Jack watched the movie for the first time I saw it in a theater when it came out in 1969. I hardly remembered it. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it and how well it has aged. O'Toole and Clark were wonderful. I saw her in Sunset Blvd here in Detroit and thought she was excellent. Weber was in the audience. The score By Bricusse is quiet and lovely. Didn't they stage it in England? Anyone see it? Would like to see someone do it here. | |

| I love the movie, and Petula Clark. The score is excellent, especially "You and I." The CD is very rare, and goes for about $300 on Amazon. | |

| There is a 3 CD special edition release of the soundtrack that has many unreleased tracks and much of John Williams' incidental music. Williams also did the arrangements for Bricusse's songs. I've seen it on ebay for anywhere from $100 to $200. I am not that big a fan of the score to put up that much money for it. The DVD of the film was also released in 2009. | |

| That 3-CD edition is amazing...I think it was $25 when it was released and always going to be limited...not surprised it is priced so high now. There was a similar release for INSIDE DAISY CLOVER also worth getting | |

| I vaguely recall having an LP of a stage production that had John Mills in the title role. I believe it was back in the 80s. It had many of the songs from the film, and some new songs (or maybe they were songs that had been cut from the film). | |

| As a long-time cheerleader for the "Mr. Chips" movie musical, I was glad to get the chance to see the stage version at Chichester. But it was quite unremarkable, John Mills was too old, and the movie was better in all respects. No surprise that the show did not transfer to the West End. | |
