Two Time Olivier Award Winner Janie Dee (NT Follies) is starring in an online production of Terence Rattigan's "All On Her Own" for Stream.Theatre.

It's just received a slew of good reviews from UK critics and has a few performances left to stream over the weekend. Anyone seen it?

Just watched it. It's a slight play, essentially a curtain raiser, but a terrific showcase for an actress. (Certianly that's what Margaret Leighton was looking for when she commissioned it.) Janie Dee gives a varied taut performance. Very short. Less than half an hour, but the price is reasonable, and its a chance to see a fine actress in a little seen work.
I believe tomorrow's matinee is the final screening.

Looks interesting. I've seen the original version with Margaret Leighton whom apparently it was commissioned for. I thought it was creaky and not Rattigan at his best. But I'd love to see another interpretation.

From the review:

it’s increasingly clear that Rattigan dealt in anger every bit as blistering as Osborne’s

Very much agreed but in this short play it felt like Rattigan was writing to keep up with Osborne and the results felt unconvincing.
