| I wish someone would release her studio albums on CD - Hello Dolly (Mrs Malloy), Kiss Me Kate (Kate), Sound of Music (Mother A). Not always great arrangements but, the voice! Also if a recording of her Grand Duchess of Gerolstein (1978 Camden Festival) could materialise I would be prepared to change my will... | |

| ..and she was an amazing Ruth in the Papp production of "The Pirates of Penzance" when it played in Central Park. Her body mic went out in the very first preview..and Rex Smith kept sharing his with her during their duet. Sorry that she couldn't go on and do the Broadway run of the part. She was superb!! |

| Fabulous Ruth in "Pirates of Penzance"! She so had the style and the superb voice for it. I'm so happy to have seen her and that wonderful production and cast in Central Park. Even more happy to find out that the production had been filmed or videotaped and was able to borrow it from the NY Public Library system some years ago, so it might still be viewable. | |

| Yes, fabulous Ruth. It was, of course, a starry night in Central Park but my friend and I agreed that the only principal we didn't know was the best--Patricia Routledge. | |

| How well I recall seeing her in a revue in London called "Cowardy Custard." She performed the absolute best rendition of Sir Noel's "I've Been To a Marvelous Party" that I've ever heard or seen. | |

| I'll second that. There is a YouTube performance when she was in her 90s, still gloriously over the top. I can't decide who owns this Noel Coward gem, Beatrice Lillie or Patricia Routledge. Oh, heck, I'm glad to have performances by BOTH . | |

| I'm fortunate to have the LPs of the "Kiss Me Kate" and "Sound of Music" recordings. This is the first I'm learning about a "Hello Dolly." I can't find anything about it. Are you sure there is such a recording and, if so, please tell me more about it. Thanks. | |

| There are multiple LP listings on EBAY for Kiss Me Kate and The Sound of Music if you are looking for them. Just search for Patricia Routledge. Also, don't forget her performance opposite Vincent Price in Darling of the Day for which she shared a Tony Award. | |

|
| It's the 1965 UK album with Beryl Reid as Dolly. Patricia sings on five tracks but worth seeking out if just for "Ribbons Down My Back" | |
