| though I was growing up on Long Island, we were visiting my grandparents in Boston so I got to see that Pacific Overtures preview in 1975. First serious musical I had ever seen, and the first one I had seen about history. And it changed how I thought about theatre and musicals....and history, for that matter. One of the great experiences of my life...theatre or otherwise. |
