So I don’t that miss Dixie is asked to donate time and services but probably as producers decided to do it to help other theaters. Hershey felder does that for his shows also. Is that different than a benefit concert where the talent isn’t paid? So I don’t think it’s despicable. Plus it is publicity that could help miss dixie’s career post covid. There are other expenses and he is getting 20% of proceeds to cover that which probably includes a tech person.
I saw the Tupperware show on an Atlantis cruise around 2010. When i talked to him, he wanted to come to San Fran but was looking for a producer. He finally did Feinstein in 2018 in San Fran. It took that long to come here. I doubt this new show will come here soon, so I’m glad to see it online. |
