In & Of Itself on Hulu (no spoilers)

I watched on Hulu last night and was totally transported back to the Daryl Roth Theatre. (I miss live theater!!!) I had such a visceral, emotional reaction to the show when seeing it live, especially the letter scene and the finale. I was glad to see Frank Oz's beautiful directing captured the intimacy of being there with lots of shots from the audience POV or cameras catching the ripples of the audience reactions. I found myself ending the movie with the same full body chills and involuntary tears as I had in the theater. I fully understand some of the criticisms of Derek DelGaudio's prose-heavy script and beat-heavy performance, but I think the message of identity and being seen is a powerful one, especially now as we're all so disconnected. I'm glad it's reaching a wider audience in streaming. Has anyone watched? I'm especially curious what those who didn't get to see it off-Broadway thought of the movie.
