I saw a lot of performers as Sally Bowles between the 1998-2004 production and its 2014-2015 revival, and Miller is one of the few who was actively, irredeemably bad in the role. Her only acting choice was to play the part as unhinged and broken as possible from the word go -- which of course earned her a Brantley rave, since broken women were always one of his major turn-ons.
