They are both listed as producers of the recent revival of Cats. Nederlander makes sense since it was in a Nederlander house. I think there is some shared interest between Nederlander and Really Useful but I am not sure how it works. Since Aspects of the Love the majority of shows produced and/or written by ALW have played a Nederlander house, or if not Nederlander is still listed as a producer (JCS at the Ford Center, School of Rock at the Winter Garden). La Bete, By Jeeves, and Bomany Dreams are exceptions.
I'm totally guessing that Shuberts were involved with Cats because they were producers of the original production and perhaps have some right to be involved. Maybe it's not that at all. Cameron Mackintosh, another producer of the original, is also listed as a producer of the revivial. |
