I saw the original cast and the tour cast.
Mercedes McCambridge I remember as much more sedate and less emotional than Geraldine Page.
Maryann Plunkett seemed to be very similar to Amanda Plummer, even the way she spoke. Almost like an impression which makes sense since she started as an understudy.
Did the other Agneses all follow that route of seeming almost mentally challenged? In the movie Meg Tilly is more sweet and angelic.
How was Carrie Fisher? Lily Knight? Mia Dillon? (the other women who played it on Bway. |
