| In an interview that I did with Lansbury some years ago, she told me that there had been some discussion of her playing Phyllis FOLLIES, but it didn't happen for whatever reason(s). I'm not sure if the timing was such that PRETTYBELLE was the specific conflict in terms of Lansbury signing on for FOLLIES, though of course both shows did wind up being produced as the same time. | |
