| De Carlo (after many early film roles as a sloe-eyed vamp) actually played Patrick Wayne's mother in the John Wayne/Maureen O'Hara western McLintock just one year before her camp role as Lily Munster. Sondheim's lyric was an hilariously accurate summation of her long career. |
