| in the case of the Met (I can't speak to any of the others) the money had been pledged but never received (actually I think a portion was but at the "giving level" that gets entire tiers named after you). Some of you may recall that a former president (of our country, no less) made lots of pledges (not to the Met I feel confident) that were never fulfilled. |
