My fear is that we will be bombarded with a rash of plays (and novels) about the pandemic. I'm getting the feeling there are just too many people sitting at home with nothing to do and are writing these things.
I can just see the promotion lines now: "A searing exploration of our shared experience." "Alone together. Then they found the truth." "Forced to face her demons." "Connections made in a world unconnected." "In a darkened room with sunlight denied." "It all started when he delivered her new SimpleHuman waste can." "Love, unmasked."
You get the drift. A new genre to compete with the binary plays. |
